		<description>I wouldn't give up so quickly since there may soon be technology that changes the fundamental assumption that a rotating assembly's remaining service life is not knowable at a reasonable cost.

Optimistically speaking, we envision:

Consumer buyers will be able to avoid lemons simply by examining a used vehicle's 180-day future repair cost of ownership contained in its online classified ad.

Wholesale auction buyers and trade-in managers will be able to control the amount of mechanical refurbishment costs they wish to assume. 

Vehicle service contract providers will be able to identify mechanical failure claims well before symptoms traditionally become apparent, 

And consumer trade-in sellers, especially of well maintained vehicles, will benefit from their sunken maintenance costs via the proxy of a guaranteed lower future cost of ownership.

Whether this technology is revolutionary or just a buyers' innovation remains to be seen.  At any rate, I just wanted to give you a heads up since, aside from Accel, your firm is the only one looking at this space.
